Classic FM and Triple J are broadcasting and there's an article in Broome Advertiser (1.1 meg), we're on page 16 but hey, now the whole town will know ! :D

It's finally here....this afternoon Classic FM went live on 93.3 FM, thanks again to Mick and the boys.
If you're in your car you should be able to hear both stations as far as Roebuck Roadhouse, maybe even further !

Mick Johnson and crew (from East2West) fix our crippled transmission, we're now happily back to full power (500 watts) and our coverage back to it's old seft - waahoo !
Classic FM should be on air really soon !

We were off air all yesterday, I've turned the transmitters to the highest power it'll let me set without causing damage, 10% of full power - broadcasting 50watts instead of 500watts, we have restricted coverage and we can't do anything until a rigger is available or until whatever the problem is somehow magically fixes itself...

Our transmission got crippled in this morning's storm and at this stage we're off air.

Broome J's are volunteer's, we can't afford to properley pay anyone and we're in need of a rigger who can donate us their time and expertise to climb the tower, check the antenna and let us know what's wrong with it but we'll have to wait until after Christmas before anyone's back from holidays...then ask around to see who's willing to do the job for a carton of beer or something else we can afford !

Change our frequency from 98.1 to 94.9 to make way for Classic FM which will be broadcasting on 93.3 FM

Broome's Triple J opening concert - we're so special the ABC sent up Robbie Buck, Jay and the Doctor and Hilltop Hoods for a free, all ages concert Broome will never forget !
