pattern pinned showing seam allowance.
Work out what size you want your wipes.
(I borrowed a friend's disposable wipe and traced around that for the pattern. When I pin it to the fabric, I just cut about a cm or two out from the edge of the pattern for seam allowance.)
OK, so choose your fabric, I used one layer terry one layer flannel, and later did wipes w two layers flannel, then wipes w two layers terry. Flannel seams to be cheaper here. Viewed: 373 times.

one layer flannel, one of terry and pattern on top - note seam allowance.
Lay out your fabrics one on top of each other, pin the pattern on and cut out about 1-2cm from the edge of the pattern for seam allowance. Viewed: 330 times.

Once materails are cut, remove pattern and pin flannel and terry together.
At this stage, because I wanted the wipes to match the ones I had made before I had use of an overlocker, I snipped one corner but you don't have to do this and if you're NOT using an overlocker then don't do this - see next step for why. Viewed: 329 times.

overlock all three layers rounding corners as you go.
If you don't have an overlocker, simply straight stitch all the way around about 1-2cm in from the edge and then zig zag within that small border - taking care to LEAVE UNSTITCHED one corner.
If you are using an overlocker, either overlock all the way round to get the look in the next pic, or overlock all but one corner to follow the steps for pic 6. Viewed: 337 times.

Plain wipes w no straight stitch border, made using overlocker. If you're not using overlocker, or have chosen to leave one corner unstitched as per previous step, go to next photo.

Once you've done step 4, turn the 'square' inside out through the unstitched corner. Flatten it out and then 'tuck in' the unstitched corner pieces so the cut ends are now inside the wipe. Straight stitch all the way around a small distance from the edge to seal in the 'tucked in corner' and to stop the wipe getting out of shape in the wash. Viewed: 377 times.
