My
biggest photography challenge is modelling and human photography, why
?
Finding someone who's comfortable being in front of a camera, comfortable
working with me and ok with having their photo's publicised.
So far I've been lucky with that because I asked some of my beautiful
friends who were happy with it, but I want to do more of it because
I thinks it's a great challenge figuring out the variables to make a
great, natural shot whilst trying to ensure my model is enjoying herself
- I won't force someone to do a shoot with me, if they're not sure we
can do a shoot and if they like it we can do more, if they don't like
it there's no pressure to do more.
Someone asked me what I do that's different to any other modelling
photographer ?
Simple, I don't use make-up or man made light, and I try to capture
natural beauty in natural environments - what I see is what you get.
The models wear whatever they're comfortable with and I let them decide
how much skin they want to expose.
Lunch or some sort of refreshments are offered as a thank you to my
models for taking the time from their day to get in front of the camera
for me - I completely disagree with modelling studio's who tell models
what they have to eat and how to change their lifestyle before they
can get in front of the camera.
I think women in the Kimberley are some of the most beautiful women
in Australia, I think my first shoots so far (linked below) are fine
examples of this.
If
someone wants to see if modelling is for them I'm more than happy to
do a shoot with them.
